Self catering holiday let about an hour from Peterborough?

I wonder if anyone can help me find a self catering holiday let about an hour or so from Peterborough (don't mind in which direction). We'll be taking an elderly relative with us and that's about as long as she would be comfortable in the car. I really want to give her a lovely break away from her normal routine. We'll be 7/8 people and would like a week's stay. Any ideas?

North Norfolk! Holt, Wells etc. Lovely. Loads for everyone.

Obvious destinations are the north Norfolk coast - HUnstanton, Heacham, Sheringham, although admittedly you would need a reasonable run to make it in an hour. There are lots of self catering caravans and cottages in the area.

Area around Rutland Water/Oakham is very pleasant and within an hour of Peterborough.

Thanks for the suggestions - will look into them today. Everywhere is getting booked up so quickly!

Lilymaid, you're right it's a beautiful area and where we will be starting from ;)

Hi there,

My parents have two 4* self-catering cottages near Aylsham in Norfolk (probably about an hour and a half from Peterborough), each sleeping 4 people. They are semi-detached with interconnecting gardens.

As they only started lletting last year and are just promoting it privately, they have quite a bit of availability at the moment.

They are also quite good for the elderly as they are all on one-level.

The web address is www.northfarm.info. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
