Best scooter for a 2 year old?

My DD is 2.2 can can use a scooter. Want to get her one if her own but not sure which on to get. I was looking at the mini micro one. Is it worth that much money? I would rather not paye that much but if its the best by far then I might!

Mini micro scooters are fab. DS got his age 2, and still uses it 3 years later. Though I am looking at bigger models now.

I have been looking at those too. I think they have good reviews and if something breaks you can get parts easily or revamp it! Do they need all the gear too - helmet, elbow and knee pads?

DS has a helmet - he probably didn't need it from the off, but I wanted to get him in the habit before he learned to scoot really fast/got a bike.

I didn't bother with knee or elbow pads - I have a hazy recollection of reading something about them restricting movement or something, so wasn't convinced they were a great idea.

Bumping, as I could really do with some recommendations for cheaper alternatives to the mini-micro for my dd2.3, as my budget won't stretch to it this Christmas. Her big bro already has a micro so could do with something similar to avoid jealousy issues.

We bought one of these from costco for 23 pounds. I don't know if they still have them. It's really good and my dd (2.5) can use it well a little too well

That price includes tax, but you are right, it is still loads cheaper, and cheaper than Amazon. Get paid tomorrow so am going to order one I love their Scuttlebugs too.

Have a look at car boots too. My bf got a hardly used mini micro from a carboot for £3.

We tried a couple of different scooters because they were cheaper and they broke etc. We then got a Mini Micro and it's fab!

Wish we had just got one in the first place, they are one of those products where it is worthwhile to spend more.

Mini Micro is worth it. We tried a cheaper one and DC1 could barely move it along, whereas she whizzes with a Mini Micro.

It dies seem like a lot of money but my dd used hers every day for 4 years, well until we bought her the next size up!

Mini micro is totally worth the money and they hold their value relatively well for when you're done with it- we sold ours on eBay for £30! That said, check eBay, preloved and gumtree as you could get a second hand one a bit cheaper?

Phew! Read this with trepidation, as I ordered a mini micro scooter for my son's second birthday this morning. Decided not to go with the oval handle and seat thing - hopefully the right decision. He is very active and mobile and people think he is older than he is because of this so hope will be okay.
Jojo is cheaper but boring blue or pink. Official site has lots of variety.
