Does anyone have the Ponyville Tea Pot?

If so, do the plates on the floor spin? We've found a button that makes them light up with music, but they don't spin. Is there another button to press or handle to turn them? I can see that they move if you push them, but do they do it independently?

DD has one, although it's in a cupboard ready for the car boot sale so she hasn't played with it for a while.

From what I can remember it's supposed to turn. I'll ask DD when she comes home.
