vsmile pocket or leapster?? Recommendations!

We are going on long car journey to france in a week with 2 year old and 5 year old and I am feeling a bit desperate about how the journey's going to go BUT am not getting a dvd player.

Thought I might buy one of these game consoles second hand on ebay: which one is better? They both absolutely love the basic games that dh has on his smartphone, and I think that's partly because of the quality of the screen - do these both have decent, colour screens?

Often, these sort of things for kids have rubbishy black and white screens, but I may be way behind the times.

DH isn't coming so we can't use his phone...boo hoo. I wouldn't dare ask him to borrow it.....!
