Do you ever dream about things and they happen?

It happens to me about once or twice a month. Usually I will dream about someone completely random who I have not thought about for years and I will see them the next day or get an out of the blue message for them. Or I dream of something random and it appears on the news the next day. Just wondered if anyone else has experiences like this? It freaks me out slightly!

Yes. Randomly a scene from a tv show will appear in my mind and then I'll turn on tv to that exact scene-weird
Sometimes I know that people are expecting before they tell anyone and I've dreamt of the future several times

I dreamed of 9/11 the night it happened.
I often dream about my partner saying something quite ordinary and he then says it thay day!

I get the weird thoughts about TV coming true too, but this is so strange/mundane I had (have? ) daft psychic connection with Greyham Norton. I'd be thinking about a particular celeb or topic in quite a lot of thought during the day then almost always Greyham Norton would be interviewing that person that eve on his show or talking about that topic.

I don't watch so much TV now (babies) and haven't seen Greyham Norton for years so no idea if I still got it lol.

I get the tv show thing all the time. I'll be saying something to DH like "well on Qi they said..." or "remember that episode of Family Guy where x happened" and later that episode will be on tv. Happens at least once a week.

Yes, but in my life at least, there are far more coincidences that don't occur.

It would be actually be stranger if it never happened that you were talking about something and then saw a related TV programme, or dreamt something that was later replicated in real life.

It happened to me!

I dreamt I was pregnant, went through the pregnancy with just my mum and family "bf wasn't there".
Gave birth to a boy (I'm having a boy), lived at my mums for a few weeks with the baby & then weirdly enough, bf turned back up and we got back together.

2 days later, I took a pregnancy test & it was positive, 3 months later, bf became the ex, he left!
I'm due to give birth in April (haven't heard from or seen ex) & will live at my mothers for a couple of weeks, what is even weirder?? I dreamt of my mums new house, we didn't even know she was moving when I dreamt this!

Now, of course everything else happened, I don't know about the whole ex coming back although I'd put my money on him NOT returning.

I keep having this recurring dream where my pregnant baby is 6 months and is controlling a helicopter. I'm in the passengers seat, and my baby is a boy, and he keeps making the helicopter go up higher and higher. I beg him to stop, but he won't listen. The dream always ends when we start getting too close to space. Not sure what this is supposed to mean?!

Loopy I would say its a classic feeling of being out of control. A very normal type of feeling in pregnancy but has manifested in this way in your dream.

I don't dream so much as find myself idly wondering about someone I haven't for a long time, to bump into them or for them to call. Or wondering about a place or object to find it's been in the news. Odd, very odd.

It's happened to me but not as regular as once a week. It's usually once a year and it will be a recurring dream over the course of a week or two. But it will be about a big event and the next day or a few days later that event will happen. Always it's something bad though Sad.

Sometimes but I always dream that I'm having a fight/in a war before I get ill - literally the next day. It's like my body's letting me know it's fighting a virus or something. Most odd.

Yes but Ive always just explained it away as 'deja vu'
My dreams seem to happen months/years in advance though and it'll come to the actual event and I'll think 'oh I dreamt this' it doesn't always pan out exactly the same as my dream (for example dreamt about an arguement with DH after a convo but the argument didn't happen in real life)
We had a big move (unplanned, made decision last minute and didn't view house on internet/in person before we moved there) to a new city and before we moved I'd dreamt that we were there.
Mine always seem to be connected to places rather than anything else - as in everything else could be explained to things I'd already thought, similar conversations that I'd had with people, plans I'd made (dreamt about a baby but always knew we'd try for another) but the place is always very specific and as soon as I'm in that place it triggers the memory of the dream.

Sorry if that doesn't make any sense, it's difficult to explain while keeping a rational mind

I once randomly thought of old school friend. I thought he's having a baby - I knew the first and second name and the sex. Found out that week after asking another friend (as bloke in question not even on FB)

It’s sort of happened a number of times with vague dreams which then seem to happen but once it was very concrete and incredibly vivid. I was about 15 and I dreamt of standing on a marble floor under a strange, wrought iron staircase in a big dark stair well with a bright skylight several floors up and a woman with bright orange hair standing at the top looking down. I could see every element clearly. It wasn’t scary but it was so vivid that for days I racked my brain as to where I had seen that. I discussed it with my boyfriend and told me mother. I remembered it like a photo - I somehow knew it was real. Many years later I visited an old boarding school and at the end of the tour the guide said ‘oh let me take you up to art through the back stairs’. I stepped through the door looked up and there it all was. My boyfriend, now my husband was beside me. I turned and said this is ‘the staircase’. He knew what I meant! At the top was the woman.
