anyone ever ridden a mechanical horse?

I've ridden one. Was to help me get canter without freaking out from nerves. It was really good fun.

They use them at the British Racing School for the apprentice jockeys to learn their trade.
They've also recently purchased one that simulates falls so that the jockeys can learn how to fall correctly.

DS(5) loves to have a go whenever we see one at events, and our local tack shop has one for saddle fitting and body protector fitting. He's tried the BRS ones too

I'm planning on having a lesson on one soon to check my balance, and give me more confidence about canter
