(2 Posts)We're about to trial Jane Considine. Looks to teach SPaG within lessons at point of need ... will see how it goes.
I moved to a new school this year. They are very prescriptive about the teaching of writing, and it's totally taking all of the fun out of it for me.
If you're a classroom teacher, how do you teach writing? Do you teach all the PAG skills through a writing stimulus? Or discretely? How do you choose what to teach writing around?
It used to be my favourite subject to teach - one year I had a year 6 pupil get 100% in her writing SATs, so I can't have been that bad at teaching it either, but since the 2014 curriculum, things have got really tedious.
Just me?
