Possible questions for a TA interview?

Hello, I just wondered if anyone could give me any suggestions on what questions I might get asked in an interview for a TA role so I can have a think about my answers!

I already work at the school but only as a lunchtime supervisor. I’m unlikely to get the role as I think they are looking for someone with previous TA experience but as I’d really like to work more for the school I figured it was worth a shot at least so they know I’m interested in doing more in the future!

Many thanks for your help.

Good luck! You'll definitely be asked about safeguarding. Who would you tell if XYZ happened etc... the answer is the safeguarding lead.

I had a few TA interviews last week and was successful.

All asked about safeguarding, what personality traits I had which would serve the role well, and how I would encourage a nervous student who wasn't quite ready to take part in a class or activity. So these are all things to consider answers for.

For what it's worth, I didn't have any direct TA experience either. Relevant experience, sure, but it's a career change for me.
