(5 Posts)Dsis was a nursery nurse by training she works as a ta with years 4 - 6 which she loves. She started in reception but moved to the older ones. There are no rules so no reason why you couldn't.
Primary TAs increasingly work more and more flexibly as school budgets tighten. I would ask for clarification on where you'll actually be working - it might be they've just timetabled the day for all candidates to do Maths in Y4. If you'd only be prepared to work in Nursery you'd need to make that clear, but it will also depend on how the school chooses to deploy TAs.
Tas work in primary too yes, but was wondering if Nursery Nurses work in years 2 upwards??
TAs work in secondary school so I imagine they exist in upper primary school. I would imagine they mostly do intervention but that’s just a guess.
Does anyone on here have any experience of Nursery Nurses working in the upper years of Primary, Y4 for example.
Do they work in the upper years?
I work in Early Years. Pre School to be exact, although have Nursery and Reception experience.
Ive applied for a job
(sent CV and cover letter)
which asked for TAs/Nursery Nurses,
Have received an email back asking me in for an interview, during which I would be taking a maths activity with a group of year 4 learners.
My CV is very clear that I have no experience with this age group, would it be acceptable to email them back and query this?
