I am about to go back to work after half term and decided to make a calendar for the fridge with all of the upcoming things (personal, family stuff) on. Largely because DH seems to have a terrible memory and double books stuff.
It's so busy I'm looking at it and there is literally not a single weekend between now and Christmas where we don't have something on (DS party, a party he is going to, his drama class/rehearsals/show, swimming lessons, my hair app, DH working on odd days, Christmas lights switch on etc). Plus stuff at DS school which will no doubt require things doing e.g. Christmas party, children in need etc.
For me, school is also set to be really busy. I am full time, teaching a core subject and lead a key stage (secondary). This half term we have various progress reports, 6th Form open eve, learning walks, book scrutinies and I am starting my middle leaders qualification.
I am well aware I am not the only one who is going to be busy - is anyone else feeling slight dread about the next half term? Any suggestions that don't involve copious amounts of mulled wine (that's the only solution I currently have )
I feel like I may look about 80 by Christmas!
