Last night I dreamt I walked out of a lesson and never went back to my school. I was disappointed when I woke that it was a dream. I am thinking that this will be my last academic year in teaching as I can’t hack the workload anymore.

I knew that I'd got to the end when I found myself very genuinely considering just walking out in the middle of a lesson. I was wondering how long the chn (primary) would leave it before realising that I'd gone. What would they do? Would Flossie go to the class next door or would they just run riot until a colleague intervened?

It was only the thought of the impact on my colleagues that kept me in the room. I rang the Doc for an appt that afternoon and the colleagues arranged a mass joint PE lesson to cover for me. I was immediately signed off.

You have to look after yourself. No-one else will.
