Woke this morning feeling shabby with a fluorescent wristband still on,sore feet and a range of random photos on my phone. It was staff end-of-year drinks last night!! Just wanted to wish all the teachers on here a very relaxing summer break, and promise me your not going to open the boxes and bag of work you have brought home til at least the 24th August!!

I am going into school Monday and Tuesday next week to set up my classroom but after that I plan to do nothing school related until the week before term starts. The next 5 weeks are all about spending time with my dc. Grin

I return from holiday on the other side of the world 36 hours before our inset day, so if I don't get it done before I go, it won't happen. So I'm worrying that if I stop before I go I'll never get started again and will return to the current chaos. Enjoy the summer everyone.

Yes the twinkl Facebook pages are panicking me slightly and the number of holiday posts. I've done nothing yet and not been near the place since we broke up!

Oh no, Notso - two colleagues exactly same. Sending sympathy and positive vibes Smile
Have been into school today as moved classrooms so left a complete tip on Friday. Going in tomorrow to (hopefully) finish binning, sorting and rearranging then not going in 'til September. Yay! Love my job most of the time but esp now!

Hetty Amazing post, thanks! Hope your hangover has subsided at last ; )

I go back to school nominally on 13th August and properly on the 21st, but we did finish on 26th June so I cannot complain. (We are abroad). I have been working a little, at home, most days, but in a bikini, with a cold drink in my hand and to the soundtrack of my own kids' delighted holiday time screeches. Find it easier to keep on top of everything, and, therefore, feel relaxed, than leaving it all to the end of the holiday.

Enjoy your holidays, everyone! :D

KohINoorPencil and FabulousFudge - stay off of that Twinkl website! The perfect classroom people are not real. We cannot compare ourselves to them.

Notsoskinnyminny - get well soon :)
