What else can I do with a teaching degree?

I think I want out of a full time classroom.
I have a teaching degree and have been teaching a fair few years so have been told I probably wouldn't waltz straight into another job as I would be expensive. I don't care about a bit of a pay cut, could I say this at interview to make myself more appealing?

I think I need to stay in some sort of regular employment as we are renewing our mortgage next year and I am the main breadwinner.

Just renew the mortgage first. Then apply to MI5. They love teachers.

Whereabouts in the country are you? (Don't worry if you'd rather not say)

Primary or secondary?

If secondary, what's your subject?

I went into nannying after doing my nqt year as I couldn't hack the sacrifice of not seeing my husband! I make the same as I did in teaching and I work three days (although that does include my mileage costs) best move I have ever made! I was early years anyway so the move wasn't that drastic iyswim!

PM me if you want as can head you in the right direction if you want!

Have you looked into advisory teacher positions? They're rare, but they do come up...

My school currently has a poor OFSTED rating so not sure they'd hire me!
