After effect of cat bite abscess?

DCat was successfully treated for a cat bite abscess. She finished her antibiotics a week ago.

I’ve just found a soft lump near where the bite was. There’s no sign of a further bite.

I’ve got a vet’s appointment booked but I’m curious as to how the lump appeared. I assume it and the abscess are connected.
