Adopted my first rescue today!

Very excited and just needed to share with somebody. Went and adopted a gorgeous little lady today called Luna. She's having her stitches from her spay looked at tomorrow morning and then DP gets to go pick her up and bring her home whilst I'm in work. Think I'm still in shock that I passed all their criteria, I thought it was really difficult to get approved at shelters. Resident fat cat Potato has been all over my jacket getting a whiff of her, fingers crossed she's the companion he's looking for, he's been really down and clingy since STBXH took his best friends a few months ago.

Thank you Potato, fat lazy cat that he is, refuses to come downstairs and put his paws on the cold wood floors and insists on living upstairs in carpeted luxury. Have set up everything Luna needs downstairs in neutral territory so they can get to know each other at their own pace. The rescue tested her with a neutered male in the same pen and she wasn't fussed so hoping it goes well. DP and I have booked some holidays from work so somebody will be home to help her settle in every day for the first 2 weeks (because we're giant softies!). I can't wait
