The litter tray

He’s missing

Since 24th June. We’re in bits. 4 years old, healthy neutered boy, chipped. Has done this before in midsummer but never this long.

We’ve done everything, posters, banged on doors, gone out at night with treats calling, chased up possible sightings.....litter on the patio, window open for him. Neighbours looking out.

We don’t know what else to do but I’m pretty sure now he’s dead. If he’d been stuck in somewhere he’d die of thirst by now, same if injured out there.....

I’m so sad. Crying all the time it’s ridiculous.

You poor thing , it is horrible when they go missing isnt it , many years ago we had a cat vanish for 14 nights , he came back a bit skinny and scruffy , we took him to the vets for a check up as I know cats are good at hiding pain but he was fine.
Have you got a local lost pets on face book ?

Still no sign. It’s been 12 days. Logically I’m giving up hope, put his toys brush, dishes etc away because I can’t bear to look at it all, go out and not leaving his window open..... got out the insurance details, vet, etc to inform them. House is just so empty.

Emotionally I put them away again, lie awake at all hours worrying, listening to the thunder and wind and think I can hear him with every seagull and baby crying. Then burst into tears again so poor DP’s chest is permanently sodden!

I hope so too.
It's possible someone's taken him in as a stray so maybe try a fresh round of knocking and leafleting.

Oh I really was hoping he had shown up by now.
I agree with PP, go back round knocking on doors and sticking more leaflets up.

Do keep calling him, cats are tough little things.
