Blood trails in the shower?!

Hi there, earlier in the week we found blood stains in our shower (3 times in 24 hrs). Then found our 4yr old female crouched down in the shower with droplets underneath her. I tried to examine her to fine the 'source' and couldn't identify whether it had come from her anus or vagina (no visible trauma or residue) and she seemed herself other than that.
Took her to the vets who said that she seems very healthy, couldn't feel any lumps or bumps, could feel where her bladder and bowel are and weren't concerned. Advised to come back if it happens again.
This morning, yet again another stain in the shower after 3 days with nothing. We paid £60 for her check up and I'm just concerned that we can't afford to keep paying £60 to not get any answers.
She seems herself aside from this one thing.
She has been spayed and the only change recently is she has started going out, whereas she used to be a house cat. I was worried she may have been attacked (sexually?) by another cat whilst out and about.
Has anyone experienced anything similar or know what this could be?

Did they check her urine for a urine infection?.

I would be concerned about a UTI too, or bladder crystals . That crouching is typical of a UTI as it hurts to wee.

Yes I took mine to the vet , it was something with her bladder. Not as much blood as that though it was one spot outside her room that I noticed on the floor then a couple of days later spots of pee.
They gave me antibiotics straight away for her to take for three days and it seemed to clear it up.
They said to keep it in case it happened again which it has so again gave her the antibiotics. The vet at the initial consultation said we would have to monitor to see how it goes so will probably let them know when she has her annual check up later in the year.

Yes, sounds like it could be a UTI and the picture looks like it could be urine with blood in it, rather than blood? I had a cat with a UTI and she was peeing pink urine in unusual places.

Mine gets feline cystitis from time to time. It looks like it could be that. Mine does lots of little wees and some have blood in.

My vet has told me for females it is uncomfortable but not dangerous. For males it can be more serious because they can get a blockage.

We treat it with metacam and making sure she has plenty of liquid. She won't drink but has mainly wet food for the liquid. (Fussy bugger won't eat much dry anyway).

Something like 9 out of 10 feline cystitis cases aren't bacterial so the vet doesn't give antibiotics for it unless it carries on for more than a few days. Some cats are prone to it but without there being an identifiable cause.

My cat has always been ok after about 4 days and the metacam really helps as it is a painkiller.

You can mix water in their wet food. I’m very surprised a cat bleeding like this isn’t more concerning to a vet.

My vet doesn’t charge for a follow up appointment for the same issue and will chat over the phone - maybe give them a ring on Monday.

I would say definitely cystitis. I’m baffled that the vet didn’t consider it

I don't want to worry you, but my cat had a blocked urinary tract and was taken in for immediate surgery when I took him to the vet. I would definitely take her back and request they check her ability to urinate.

My Cat is on a daily urinary diet (Royal Canin, wet & dry)

They go in the bath as its nice and cold for them because they are poorly.

She needs treatment.

One of my cats pees blood sometimes and he has cystitis as previous posters have mentioned. Initially he was given oral morphine and then once he was back to his usual self we stopped that and he is just on a daily supplement called Cystease. It's an alternative to the special diet food as we have 2 cats and only one has this problem. We get his tablets on amazon for about £7 for a months supply. They are capsules that can be easily opened and sprinkled over food (or if she is anything like my fussy prince, he likes them mixed in with some cat yoghurt and will meow until he gets them!)
