How long to keep cat in

Hi just after some advice please!
We moved in to our new house Saturday and I've kept my cat in. Just wondering how long I should keep her in for before letting her out in her new surroundings?
She's constantly sat looking out of the windows and I feel so sorry for her.

I know the advice from Cats Protection is two weeks, but when I got my rescue cat she was keen to go out, so after three days I took her into the back garden with me and stayed close to her.
Neutered females don’t usually stray over a large territory, and she was happy to keep within a few yards of her cat flap and the open door. I did this each day, and she gradually ventured further into the garden. She’s never liked using the litter tray and prefers to toilet outside, so that may have been why she was so desperate to get out.
After a week I just left her car flap unlocked for her to come and go as she wanted, and she’s been happy with that arrangement for three years now.

When I got my rescue cat last Saturday he was desperate to go out from the minute I arrived and saw the garden. Initially he went out of my bedroom window and wandered round on the roof outdoors.

On Wednesday I unlocked the catflap and he's been in and out like a yoyo. No issues what so ever. Just annoyed I won't open the bedroom window because it's too cold and wet.

I kept the Bengal in 4 weeks, he spent time looking out the window planning his take over of the street from next doors ginger tom.
