Best dry kitten food

We have a 5 month old kitten who only eats dry food (apart from the occasional treat). At the moment he's on Royal Canin which is probably the worst combination of high cost and poor nutrition. I'm looking for high quality but can't decide between Applaws, James Wellbeloved or Thrive. Happy with other suggestions so long as the food is easily and consistently available online. Also worth adding that any protein included would need to be poultry as he doesn't like fish!

I am currently feeding Canagen - its for all life stages and not too expensive given the amount you have to feed although Applepaws looks good and is much cheaper.

The cereal content in James Wellbeloved has doubled since it was bought by Mars Pet Food. My kitten came home from the rescue on it but poos weren't solid and farted a lot/smelt like a skunk.

Amazon sell Applepaws Kitten really cheaply on Prime.
