The litter tray

Fleas... is it a really bad year?

We had a flea infestation 3 years ago after thinking that cheapy flea treatments would work. Ever since, we've treated the house with Indorex every year and been religious with applying Advocate (prescription only) every month. Over the last week I've found three fleas, thankfully all very nearly dead, either on or near one of my two cats. I am getting a bit paranoid that the treatments aren't working. I know the flea has to jump on the cat for it to work, so I can accept seeing one flea a couple of times a year, but three in a week? Should I be panicking?!

As long as the fleas are getting killed by the cat treatment then it means it is working

I suppose it depends if fleas are active in your area. We've been a bit late a few times with treatments but haven't seen any fleas

Thanks @dementedpixie, yes hopefully it is working! I think we must live in a really flea infested area... my mum never treats her cats and has never seen a flea, whereas ours pick them up despite us spending £200 a year on treatments Hmm
