Me and my mum are cat sitting for a friend and one of the cats was pregnant and had kittens. Mum went up this morning as we've obviously been checking on them regularly and discovered that 2 of the 3 kittens were dead. They were both smaller than would be preferred but 3 hours before they were all fine! Mama cat wasn't rejecting them, they were mostly latching on well(the smallest needed more help with that) They were only born on Wednesday (now Friday) and the cats owners are on holiday in America (just bad timing that the holiday was booked when she was due, no one's fault) and we don't know what to do with the deceased kittens. Right now they are in a towel, in a tub, in a cupboard. We did ask them what to do in this situation but all they said was "put them in a box" and nothing else (not by any fault of them, what do ye say when faced with that question?) the owners mum should be in later today but we can leave them in the cupboard for long. Any advice? (the 3Rd and final kitten is the biggest and thriving in case you're wondering and we have consulted with a vet about everything)
