When to go to the vet....

I have noticed a cut on boy cat's front leg, it doesn't seem to be bothering him (he's not licking it, let's you touch his leg etc) but to my untrained eye it looks quite deep.

We went to the vet last week (about a scraped paw pad) and he was given a dose of antibiotics which we were told would cover him for a couple of weeks, so now I'm not sure whether to take him in when they open tomorrow or keep an eye on it for a few days and see if it starts to heal/starts to bother him

I want to make sure he's ok (he's my baby) but also don't want to rush him to the vet if it's not necessary (as he gets super stressed going in the carrier/car/being at the vets)

So help me wise Mumsnetters, WWYD?

I really don't know. If he's still covered by the antibiotics then I wouldn't be too worried. But then it might need a couple of stitches. I'd probably keep an eye for a few days.

Why not ring the vet and speak to a nurse? My vet gives great advcie over the phone and it’s not always necessary to bring her in.
