Is anyone else's cat judgemental??

Mine freaks me out sometimes, she knows if I'm being stressed/lazy/drinking too much/chain smoking.

She will seriously sit by me, look at the wine goblet, look at my face, then look back at the wine goblet, in quite an amused pointed way as if to say what the hell are you doing.

It's quite unnerving. Unfortunately she's not partial to catnip so I can't point back at her and say 'aha'.

It's like saffy and edwina from ab fab. Little does the little critter know I signed on a tenancy today to accept cats to keep her safe.

I love the vision of your wine goblet.

My Mam’s has staged a protest at my furniture assembly skills. After 3 hours putting ikea furniture together he’s made it well known that I’ve done such a bad job that the boxes are more comfortable 😕

Totally judgemental, every step of the way. A new cat tower was delivered last week. She's sniffed it then glowered at me as if to say "not a hope in hell, woman!".

Oh does she not like her tower? Ungrateful little beast!

No, won't go near it. The only time she's not judging me is when she's buttering me up for treats - little charmer!

If it is frosty out and I do not light the woodburner, I get the pointed look at stove, look at me, look at stove, look at me, obvious disdainful look of FFS light the fire stupid human.

Mine judges me all the time too.

She just broke into the bathroom as I dared to take a bath without her permission. She's now staring at my wine glass too.

She was also accidentally fed dinner three times this evening (as clearly the humans do not communicate and she does an excellent job at appearing utterly starving!)

Your moggie looks like our boy Leo (1989-2008 RIP) - so cute, and same coat and eyes. What breed is your cat?

Wow, Leo had a long life. I don't think she is a breed just off her own . Long haired domestic is the description on her chip registration. I think Weeds puss is the same. She was a stray in the village & chose me as her slave. She's a gorgeous girl and I love her to bits.

There is a judging hierarchy in our house. The little ginger cat is a mental but un-judgmental soul on the whole. Except when she's judging me for not letting her eat ninety thousand dreamies at once. She never judges DP, though.

The moody tabby cat never judges DP either and likes him more the sweatier he is. I judge him for leaving his cycling gear on the bathroom floor, she however rubs herself all over it.

However she judges both me and the little ginger one for all of our transgressions and frequently bops us on the nose when we displease her. If I have been good she will deign to sleep on my head.

It's a complex dynamic in this house Grin

Want2beme - yes, our Leo lived for 19 years and 5 months! And we were his slaves too. 'We' meaning my parents and me. Well, me for a few years until I moved out of my parents' house. Leo moved into my old bedroom after I moved out Smile
If I find a photo I'll post in on here so you can see the resemblance.

Judgemental furry little fuckers. Mine now has her own stash of Dreamies and Webbox tuna sticks in my bedside cupboard with MY stash of chocolate because I'm not allowed to be fat and greedy in peace Hmm she attacked my crochet wool tonight because apparently my attempt was pitiful. .. I adore her Grin excuse the crisp crumbs on the floor Blush

Mine judge me when I am sitting on the sofa where they want to be. I get the look until I move.

Cats know everything and they are always right so they have every right to judge us mere humans.

My parents' cat Leo was judgmental when my parents stayed up late in front of the TV. Leo used to sleep on their bed and when he thought it was time for bed he would stare at my parents, then look at the TV, walk up towards the bedroom, come back down, stare at them, look at the TV, walk to the bedroom, etc. and repeat until they got the message that it was bed time.
No late night TV watching allowed!
