The litter tray

Hob covers

We have a kitten who has recently discovered she can jump up onto the kitchen sink area (usually whilst I'm washing up). The sink is a short walk to the hob. I'm looking for tips on how to keep her from walking across the hob. My main worry is burnt paws. As a rule though she's not allowed up on the counters. I have been looking at hob covers but having read more about them I don't think they're intended to be used on hot hobs.
Any ideas?

You just have to be really vigilant, it's best to lock them out while your cooking anyway.

I had an induction hob fitted because they don't get hot.
