Poor loves, they have no idea what's coming Grin

Any tips? We're picking them up at 4pm tomorrow and will be in almost all weekend so we can keep an eye on them (out for dinner for 3 hours on Saturday night, hopefully that's ok?) They are quite active boys at the moment (they're 5.5 mos old) but I'm anticipating lots of moping and downtime. Have stocked up on Dreamies!

They're also getting chipped while they're under general, if that's relevant.

They'll be quite hungry but careful feeding them too much at once and keep it plain. Mine had bad tummy and had a bit of D&V the next day poor boy.

Kitten didn't actually seem that bothered apart from that, I tried to keep him calm and didn't play with him but he was pretty active that afternoon.

I generally don't see much reaction from boys at all. I feed them normal food after the op and all is generally fine. You will need to keep them in for a few days (5 ish) to make sure no dirt gets in the wound. But that's it really. They won't notice the difference.

Thanks both - that's good to know. Other half has had kittens before but can't remember what they were like after neutering - they were rather quiet after their first jabs so was anticipating them being more like that -(was slightly looking forward to the temporary break from their antics if I'm honest!)

My previous boy cats sulked for days and hardly moved.

Ernie never stopped and managed to get the collar off half an hour after getting home
