Hi everyone!
We've just got a new furry friend from a rescue centre, and she came with a free 4 weeks insurance with Petplan. She's 4 and a half years old, and a DSH.
Seeing as I will have to sort something out soon, can you give me your recommendations for insurance please?
Is Petplan the best?
They've quoted me for the "Covered 4 life" cover of either £12.99 or £14.85 per month, both with £75 excess.
Is this a reasonable price?
Your opinions please Smile

It would depend on what is covered. I've got a policy with Tesco for one of my moggies (need to insure the other one!) that I pay £11.xx for a month and the excess is £50. It's been claimed on twice in the last two years and has been worth every penny!

I'm with Tesco and they have settled a £4000 bill with in less than two weeks. £28 a moth to insure both of my 6 year old Persians with the top level of cover. £7500 for each condition and renews every year

£60 excess. Really cannot fault them.

I can't recommend Petplan highly enough, they paid out for Harry last year when my vet said it was unlikely they would.

I wouldn't use any of the companies underwritten by RSA (Tesco, More Than, Argos etc) due to their policy on referrals, and I've heard nothing good about Animal Friends so I'd be a bit limited even if I hadn't claimed from Petplan!
