We have four cats.

Cat number 4 is Bella. She is a five year old extremely timid cat who we got from a rescue in August.

She's mainly lived upstairs but the last few weeks has been coming downstairs and roaming about and even ventured into the garden for a little potter about.

Yesterday though she went into the garden and was last seen shuffling her fluffy arse under the gate. This was lunchtime.

By 3pm I was getting frantic. She has never been out that long and I went out and walked along the path round the back of the house calling her. Two hours later both dp and I went out and split up in two directions and even walked into the woods, still calling her. Nothing.

She has a distinctive meep which she normally makes when you call her so I was by now, extremely worried.

I went out again at 6pm and then posted on the local FB pages for people to keep an eye out when dog walking etc and to check sheds.

Dp picked teen up from work at 8pm and I went to check the local garages. Teen went straight out to hunt too and eventually came in to say she could hear her.

Well that's when the fun started. We couldn't work out where she was for ages and then sussed she was in next doors garden. There was no gap under the gate and the fence is 6ft with a trellis on top of that. It's all full of brambles and bushes to pretty inpenetrable. Bella was in a bush in the corner and we couldn't reach her and she wouldn't get close enough to be grabbed.

By 9.30 we decided to bite the bullet and knock next door (neighbour is elderly) and ask if we could go out the back. Luckily her son was staying and me and teen went out. Bella was in a bush that we couldn't get into without being eaten by foliage. I pushed my way in and tried to grab her but she shot up the fence and in her panic got close enough to dp (who was still on the other side) and he grabbed her by the scruff and pulled her through the trellis.

I then had to apologise for dripping blood from my scratches in the kitchen as we traipsed back through and although slightly traumatised and very hungry, Bella is fine.

She slept on my tummy all night. My scratches are healing nicely grin

Good job I love my furry babies!

You sound like a lovely, rather crazy, cat lady. Much like myself! grin
Bella is lucky to have you.

I am a crazy cat lady, I got a mug which says so for christmas grin

Wouldn't be without any of them, Silver is currently squashed into the chair with me with her head on my feet so I can't move.

I look like I've been in a fight though. Hands and arms and shredded! Between Bella's claws and all the foliage.

It's what any of us mad cat ladies would do! My arms and chest were ripped to shreds recently when one of ours decided to run up to the main road! In the process of catching her I dived to my knees and ripped holes in the knees of my tights!
In her defence she was frightened! I do love her lots so all forgiven!

Do you have any Sudocreme? That's great for cuts and stretches.
