Wish cats could blow their noses.

Snorgmaiden has a cold. She fine in her self but she really struggles when her nose gets blocked. She's a Persian with a very flat face and a microscopic nose. She had it widened in January which made a huge difference. But I can't bare to hear her snorting. Wish I could teach her to blow it!!

Achh. Poor lass.

Poor girl. Hope she feels better soon.
Though given cats seem to resemble toddlers more than any other age human, I doubt they would blow even if you could teach them - they'd either sit there sniffing and snorting, or wait for their servant to blow it for them.

GrinI'd gladly blow it for her. Though the nurse in me wants to give her some suction. Don't think our suction catheters come small enough though!

Imagine what she'd be like if she hadn't had the op, though.

Yes. She'd have been at the vets for steroids as she was this time last year as she was really struggling. I was really worried about the strain on her heart.

I wonder if snot suckers designed for babies would help?

I'd never come across those before, Fluffy. They could be worth a try?

I thought of that but I'd never be able to pin her down to do it and I think they'd be to big. Her nose is tiny! She's fine. It bothers me more than her!

You can buy them for newborns. Being able to 'pin her down' might indeed be a step too far though. Grin

Her nose is much smaller than a newborn! The vet who did her op was quite shocked by how tiny it was! Grin

That would be a 'Forget It' then. Smile

Remind me, Toddler. They're rescues aren't they? Smile

Now why did I think you had more than one? Blush

Yes they are rescues. I have two sisters. They are practically identical! The other one( Maia) has no problems with her breathing but has runny eyes. Which she hates being wiped but will happily let me pick the gunk off with a fingernail. Magic on the other hand rarely gets gunky eyes, when she does her favourite place to wipe them is my sleeve. ConfusedHmm despite that Persians are the best!

Ah. You have two. That's where I had the thought from. Smile

Thank Goodness they don't both have breathing problems.
