I have a 4 month old kitten,decided to get him a companion and found one that will be ready in 2 weeks,so she's reserved for me.
Just had a message from the lady I had the 4 month old from to say she's moving and needs to regime the mum and sibling,I'd really like to give the mum a home so I can get her spayed and save her from having any more litters.
But that would mean letting down the lady who's holding the kitten for me

Take the mother at least. Other woman will easily find a home for the kitten.

Shelters are full and she is likely to end up just being left behind when the owner moves. We deal with this all the bloody time. Generally unneutered cats that just get left behind and then go on to have kittens in the street or garden. You can at least stop that happening, and I'm sure your kitten would love to be with its mother. Take the sibling too though if you can.

It'll be a shame to let down the person holding the kitten for you, but the kitten is very likely to find a new loving home. Mum cat is much less likely.

I'd also be tempted to get the sibling too, though - at least then they're together and the little one still has a companion his age.

Already got a vet appointment next week booked for mum to be pre checked for spaying and the kittens will be done once 16 weeks

Can,one of them chose to per on dd1's friends clothes,so when her mother,who is quite posh comes to pick her daughter up I have to explain why she's not dressed and her clothes are way but washed,mortifying

It may be worth a mention that male cats are pre programmed not to stay with their mum. Nature dictates that the mum pushes the male out from about this age to prevent the son impregnating her. You need to carefully manage this relationship, sometimes they work it out and sometimes nature dictates that mum will never tolerate male being near. Early neutering is a very good idea.
