DH has finally accepted the cat!

He will not admit this though. But he proper loves him now.

How do I know this?

His highness gets locked in at night mainly so he doesn't invade neighbour's house. Cat flap turned to setting where he can come in but not get back out usually around 10pm. I wake up at around 4am this morning and DH is up, faffing around in various rooms. I ask what he's doing and he says cat hasn't come in yet. He comes back to bed and lasts about 10 minutes before he gets up and says he's going to check the road for "peace of mind". He was out for 30 mins in his PJs

(2 minutes after DH walks out front door, his Highness saunters in through cat flap and curls up on his side of bed).

Our cat is poorly at the moment...I text him cat was chasing me around the garden...he text back

'That's good. My little boy is feeling himself again'

Fluffy apparently, I obviously didn't care enough AND it was more for his peace of mind about my peace of mind. ???

DH got up at 6am this morning to refill the food bowl. Voluntarily. It's possible that instead of forming a bond with the cat, he's actually a pod person.

Thanks for asking OP...He has diarrhea which could be a reaction to the Metacam he was on but he also has a temp...

I cant yet persuade OH to give 'his boy' his tablets when he gets in at 6am...which would be a great help.

Probably...he also isnt that used to handling cats..I've never mastered the 'getting a pill down a cat either.

He did sat that he felt mean and the cat couldn't understand why he didn't have his early morning Daddy treats as they are empty stomach tablets.

I dont think Ernie understands the concept of empty stomach

I love the cat pill guide....I was given a booklet about giving pills...you can see what Ernie thought of it...

i've found if you gently wet a dreamie, and then stick the pill to it, they generally eat it...

I love those guidelines! First time I saw it I was crying. Fortunately our cat isn't too bad to administer tablets to. I remember as a kid my parents used to get our poor cat on top of the chest freezer and my mum would wear leather gloves to reduce scratch risk!
