The litter tray

Introducing kitten to existing cat

We adopted a pair of cats, brother and sister, when they were around 10 months old in March last year. Sadly my beautiful girl cat was put to sleep in October as she was extremely poorly with FIP.

I love my boy to pieces but feel it's time to add to our little family and we were looking at adopting another cat until my SILs cat had kittens. The runt of the litter, a gorgeous girl, chose us and my kids fell in love with her.

Now my question is this.. How likely would it be that my boy cat will accept the kitten? Is there anything I can do to help him get used to her?

It's an unknown, trouble is once you've got a kitten there's no going back.

They'd have to be seperate for a week and having bedding swapped over so they get used to the smell.
