We've had cats before, but our dear old lady passed away last autumn aged 17, so it's a long time since the kitten stage. Our lives are about to change completely, aren't they?!

Any top tips for settling in two gorgeous girl kittens gratefully received!

An igloo like bed, mats to go under their feeding bowls (there is often a big mess, as they dive straight into the food, in some sort of eating race and it gets pushed onto the floor), plenty of toys to coax shy kittens from behind the settee...

It's like having children - we get home and find everything is a toy! Ornaments moved around, pens all over the floor, kittens racing up the curtains, our legs...using their claws to grip! One has an endearing habit of giving a little nip to our nose, when we are asleep - cos they learnt to open door handles within 3 weeks! They can also bite holes in the pouches of food, until the stuff starts to ooze out. Funniest is when we yawn and they stick their head in our mouth!

Go round the house and 'kitten -proof' it. (Think toddlers who can jump and climb! Grin) All valuables/breakables removed to a safe place temporarily and check out holes/gaps/open chimneys all that sort of thing.
