The litter tray

Stupid cat - think he'll be ok or is a vet call needed?

Made a lasagne for tea tonight, drained all the fat off the mince into a bowl to then be binned once cooled.
After eating goes to bin said meat fat to find the entirety gone and a kitty looking sheepish. He's now hiding under the bed and won't come out, will it make him sick eating so much fat? Could he get really ill from it?
Bloody nuisance.

He might throw up but more likely will just do a very glossy poo tomorrow. No need for a trip to the vet if it's a one off.

Glossy poo :o

I agree, he may throw up but I should imagine he will be fine. Although he may be feeling quite queasy.

Nah if eating weird shit was going to cause a major issue, BuggersMoggy would have been at the vet far more often than he has been. Although ours tends to self limit (but is very old), perhaps this experience will teach yours to self limit too Smile

He hadn't long since had his teatime pouch of meat too, just couldn't help himself! I'm actually impressed that he ate it all, dp tried to tempt him out from under the bed with some dreamiest - funnily enough he didn't even flinch. Thanks all, I thought he would be fine but the hiding and looking sulky worried me a bit, suppose he's feeling a little full up now.

Very high fat meal can trigger pancreatitis if he doesn't eat tomorrow he should see a vet as pancreatitis can be serious.

Make sure that he's got plenty of water, he'll sort himself out. He's probably sulking because he's got tummy ache from over eating. We had a cat who was rather partial to left over curry. Can't imagine his insides thanked him every time he ate it though.

When my greedy cat has eaten some fat, he's been super sleepy for a few days and off his food. But he's been fine (done it 2 or 3 times - he's an absolute arse when it comes to stealing food)
