Same here, never have before. Is it because it's mild weather? Watching with interest.

Hello, I spoke to vet today and they said that due to warm weather and also people putting heating on fleas are bad at this time of year.
I use Frontline every 4 weeks but apparently doesn't always work. They advised tablets as well as the spot on, which I bought from pet shop ( johnsons 4fleas, 6 in a pack, around £7-9) and some spray for the house.
The tablets work after 15 mins.
I used them and the cat started scratching and grooming almost straight away so think they have had an effect! I need to check again tomorrow and if not gone give her another tablet.

I just get advocate from the vets once a month. Flea bites and then dies. Do it every month and no flea problem.

If you have a visible flea problem, I second using Indorex spray in the house to kill fleas and flea larvae, and a spot on treatment for your cat like Frontline Combo. It worked for us when our cat came to live with us, and he was crawling with fleas.

Glad it's not just my cat then! Have been using advantage but just ordered frontline and some indorex spray so hoping the one I found was just a one off that had been having a little ride - it was quite dopey so think it mush have bitten her and the treatment was working but don't want to find I suddenly have an issue.

With the spray so I spray everywhere? Night time or wen we're out? I've never really used one before, and have a toddler so just want to make sure I do it right! Bedding etc is washed weekly and I've recently steamed the furniture so hoping if anything had been on those that may have helped clear it but spraying will be done on top!

Advantage used on our cat as of 4 months ago and works a treat. Previously always used Frontline and we got inundated with the little buggers this summer. It was awful. Frontline definitely doesn't work for us. Though we do have to use the advantage every 3 or so weeks as it does seem to wear off then.
I use the spray everywhere the cat goes including its bed. Just keep the kids and pets out the way until it dries. And vacuum at least once a day until you have control over them as our vet said vibrations from the hoover may disturb the larvae and they then hatch.

Frontline is the best :)
For the most effective treatment, you also need to treat the floors.

No, Frontline is utterly shit and useless!
