cats and playing?

Do some cats just not play? Ollie has the odd mad moment with a ball or feather but he's not really interested
He's been with me about three weeks now and is proving to be a model cat. Mainly he sleeps on the bed or on me. Or shouts until I cuddle him
If I wave the feather toy, he looks at me like "stupid human" and curls up on my lap Confused
Picture (I know the litter tray rules!)

Seniorboy is not only most elderly - oozing experience from every pore - but a very bright cat and he would choose love over games every time. Maybe it's a Siamese thing.

I bought him a new Flying Frenzy a few weeks back and as I played it on the bed, I could see his eyes travelling - onto the feathers, up the string, along the rod, up my arm until finally they reached my face. Then he sighed and dutifully - I swear it was dutifully - put out a solitary paw and dabbed it.

I took the message, put it away and went for the normal cuddle instead.

That went down a lot better! Grin

I have 3, 1 of them plays a lot, one plays when she feels like it (her rules if *she feels like it) and one just looks Confused when I try to play with him.

Get some Catnip, see how Ollie likes that. He looks lovely.

He has a catnip scratch box which he adores, he sleeps on it Hmm
And a valerian pillow which he rubs his head against and occasionally bats around
