I posted recently about being kicked out of my beautiful but cat-unfriendly (due to road) house in the countryside. Well, after a series of disappointments and being pipped at the post by other renters, today I went to see a cottage on a farm in the middle of North Eastern nowhere. It was lovely. The house needs a bit of brightening up, but they're happy for me to put a cat flap in and there is NO main road for miles.

I'm so happy. The cats are going to LOVE it!!!!

Oh that is good news, is it a long lease? you must be fed up with moving.

Thanks!
Cozie - don't. There are horses right at the end the garden there, which means tick hell. Also as the house has been vacant for 9 months the grass is a jungle. Might get someone else to tackle that....

Lone's written about it - have a search on the board. Smile

(It's not that bad with cats - if they have real thick coats, they don't seem to collect them as much as dogs in my experience.)

When mine were outdoors I plucked maybe 5-10 ticks over the course of the Summer. I thought this was ok until a couple of moths agowhen I discovered a hugely engorged tick in my arm. I had to go to minor injuries to get it cut out while all the medical students watched in horrid fascination. It was vair embarrassing and I was convinced I was going to die from Lymes!

I'm sure your cats will reward you with many many presents. Have fun.
