My poor boy is poorly He was sick on Wednesday, but seemed ok. Then he was sick several times in the night and had diarrhea on Thursday. He ate nothing all day, just drank water, but was sick afterwards. Friday I took him to the vets. He hasn't got a temperature, she couldn't feel anything in his tummy, his gums were nice and pink, but his heart was racing, probably due to stress of going to the vets. She gave me Pro kollin, metronidazole, omeprazole, none of which I can really get into him. She asked me to bring him back today, Saturday, which I did.
He's no better, just sleeps, doesn't want anything to eat and isn't drinking either. I'm syringing water into his mouth throughout the day. She said he isn't very dehydrated yet. I've to call them tomorrow if he's no b
etter - and I don't think he will be. I've bought all sorts of treat food, all expensive tiny packs of chicken in jelly, salmon in jelly etc, to tempt him, but he won't even sniff them.
The vet said the next step would be to xray him in case there's a blockage. But would he have diarrhea if it was a blockage?
I'm really worried about him. Usually he's chasing his step brother around, following me around the house, eats non stop .. Now he's just sleeping
