I've got a 18 month old Siamese. She is lovely. Her mother has had another litter of kittens. Would it be fair to her to get another cat, if so does the sex matter?

She's so friendly and has a cat friend outside, do you think she'd like a companion or be upset ?

Does she mind other cats in her garden? Or does she get hissy?.

I got a kitten from the same mother when my girl cat was 18 months old and sadly it didn't work out.

My cat is fine with next doors male cat but doesn't seem to like other females.

I followed advice on here and tried my best to introduce the kitten into our home but it got to the point where I was worried my cat would do the kitten some serious harm.

Luckily one of my friends had fell in love with the kitten and he now happily lives with them so I still get to see him.

Hopefully someone will come along with a better experience OP.

We got another cat when our first was about 2 years old. There was some anxiety at first but they soon settled. In fact, it seemed to perk up the older cat, who was slightly morose.

If she's made a friend, there's a good chance she'll be OK with a companion.

Thanks for all of the advice. We've chosen a blue point male kitten who is ready in two months. I'm going to visit new puss with something with her scent on and try to get her used to his scent. They are from the same mother and father.

Let's hope all is successful. I'll keep you informed.
