New cat ours!

Some of you might remember that a few weeks ago I posted about a stray cat which had befriended us.

After a few weeks of trying to catch him on a Sat am which is the only real time dh can take him to the vet (I'm disabled and can't drive, and the vet is several miles away) we enticed his now much more sleek and calm self into a carrier (the horror of it!) and got him checked out.

No microchip, not neutered, still quite skinny/underweight and with fleas. We've asked around, done a poster and checked with local vets/rescues and no one seems to be missing him.

So he got his first vax on Saturday (the horror of it!!) and is booked in for his operation, flea treatment and chipping on Thursday. And he has a shiny new collar with a bell on it. The vet said he's 2-3 years old and her impression looking at him is that he'd been straying for quite some time.

This is "Derek" (blame dd1) relaxing in his new home!!

How lovely! He's got character.

Will you keep him in until he's done?

What a great boy! He looks quite the Lord Of All He Surveys already.

Aw, he's completely lovely.

How lucky for him to have found you, and vice versa.

Love the differently coloured end to his tail.

I luff him! Congrats!

He is luffley!

Has agreed to a truce with Sevvy, our other cat.
Has agreed to ignore our guinea piggies.
Has been very firmly put in his place by Alice the Rabbit.

All is well in the Weegiehouse!

Well Derek had his op today. He is a bit of a wobbly and grumpy cat!

I am doubly unpopular as he can't go out until tomorrow.

Have you a taste treat for him this evening if he's still awake?
