Thank you for neighbour feeding a cat?

Our neighbour is kindly feeding our two cats (and two chickens) this week whilst we're away.

We're new to the area, they are wonderfully friendly and we hope to be neighbours for many years! They have two dogs so might need the odd favour here and there, but probably not as much as with cats as I expect they take the dogs with them.

What, if any, thank you gift would be appropriate? Don't want to go OTT, but would like to show our appreciatation!

Thank you card and a bottle wine or a box of chocs or a bunch of flowers.

Wine or flowers or both. Our neighbours feed our two, if they didn't then I think it's £10-£12 a day for kennels so best part of £100Angry

We often bring something special back from our trip. A jug of olive oil, a special cheese, embroidery maple syrup... (if you're going abroad).

My cats stay with my parents when we're away and bring back a super nice pressie from the trip for them to say thank you. But that's easily done when you know their tastes. For a neighbour I would say wine and chocs and a thank you card.

pressie from the trip every time
my neighbours still use the unique little chopping board we got them after a three week trip
teatowels
egg cups
silly things that are always "the pressie I got for cat sitting" even years later
