There's a massive thunderstorm here, thunder, lightening and heavy rain.

I'd be cozily tucked up indoors except for the fact my crazy tomcat is only happy if he can sit on the mat peering out of the front door.

Tiny house and hallway is right next to the sofa. I'm cold.......

Good job I love him very much, the mad sod Grin

LOL!

Our cat loves looking out the window when the fireworks are going off!

Wow! Very relaxed pusses you have there purpleknittingmum :)

Mine just look at me wide eyed and scared as if to say 'how could you let this happen????? when there are fireworks. :)

I've got one on the bed atm with that expression on her face @ the thunder and the aforementioned Tom on the mat by the door.

Sigh. happy days!! Am determined that the gatekeeper at rainbow bridge will issue them with a VIP ticket when they eventually have to go - due to having had a perfectly trained 'hoomin' while they were alive :)

I know! One of my colleagues said it is perhaps is a house cat and never heard it really loud. When he hears them he loves to jump up on the windowsill and you can see him following them!

Hmm, that's a point! Mind you, I live on the edge of a notorious council estate and fireworks here go off from 1st September through to the middle of March (well, it seems like it sometimes!)

Can't really blame mine for being a bit jumpy in those circumstances since both are big fans of the outdoors.

I do love the way that cats assign such power to their humans - mine are convinced I can change the weather just by sheer will and/or opening a different door to the outside (as well as starting/stopping loud noises such as fireworks and thunder)

There should be a photo on my profile of our cat Misty. He is quite a character, he never used to be keen on visitors but now doesn't mind them. My mum and step dad come over every Sunday afternoon, and he had to be moved off the chair so everyone could sit down!
