we got our kitten in september and tbh it has been a massive disaster.

our resident tom hates her and is getting more and more stressed. the kitten winds him up and tomcat has just attacked and bitten DSs leg, thinking it was the kitten. we have already taken the kitten to the vet with a massive infection from tom biting her.

i think we should rehome her while she is still young and cute and will be rehomed quickly.
dh thinks we should keep her as we took on the responsibility of a kitten, which is very true but i feel it's just not working out and it's better to rehome sooner than later.

WWYD?

We got a kitten back in September and he wouldn't leave our old 16 year old cat alone, always wanting to play or cuddle up to him. It made my old cat very grumpy and stressed. So in October we got another kitten to the kitten company, and it worked. The 2 youngsters play and fight and cuddle and chase each other up and down the stairs all day and my old cat gets left alone to sleep on my bed.

I don't know if this would be the answer for you but it worked for us.

We got both of ours from the Cat's Protection and specified for the second kitten that she would have to be affectionate to other cats and playful, (as well as good with small children), and as they had so many in foster homes they were able to find the right match for us. The added bonus was as she was 5 months old she was already neutured which saved us money. We did have a couple of days of hissing from her as my boy kitten was very interested in her but after that they have got on really well.

Good luck, I hope it works out for you.
