Dog suddenly hates men!

Hi all, before I try Google I thought I'd try here to see if anyone had experienced similar.
DDog is 15months old. She is a rescue mongrel but we know she is half Cocker, half springer/shitzu. We had her from 8 weeks old from a rescue foster family so no mistreatment before that.
She is the most social, good natured, sweetest little dog. She's always been keen to meet people, have a fuss etc.
Our DDaughter arrived 16 weeks ago. We worked as hard as we could to prepare DDog and it worked, she is wonderful with the baby and very gentle around her.
During lockdown she has only been with DH and I, and also my DM. More recently we've only really had females visit to see the baby.
When men now come to the house, even if it's one she's met before, she gets really agitated, standing her ground, barking, stands in front of the baby and barks the men away! She will eventually calm down but it takes a while and she stays on eggshells for most of the visit. She's never been like this and we can only assume she's protecting the baby.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips? We're planning on carrying on as normal and hoping that she gets used to it.
In case it matters, she is spayed, and showing no other signs of pain/distress etc.
Thanks in advance Smile

Aww gorgeous doggy!

I think it's quite normal for dogs to be protective of babies, you probably need to speak to a good dog behaviourist to get done tailored advice.

Thank you Smile yes we will look into that. Just so strange that it's only men!

I wonder if there is something subtly different in the way men approach the baby compared to women that she doesn't like.

If she is outside (without baby) meeting men is she still wary/agitated?
