Is there any miraculous way to reduce the amount of dog hair my dog is shedding. I'm brushing him regularly but each day I'm getting balls and balls of hair off him. The house is covered in it and I'm sick of hoovering!!

Hi we have a Rottweiler they are supposed to be low moulting dogs ( she definitely isn’t )
We have the same issue, hair is all over the place it drives me mad!
we looked into this, dogs will shed more than often twice a year they shed their summer coat and winter coat.
Not really a lot you can do tbh we hoover almost everyday.
I did buy a little comb called ezzy groom you can google it, that work a little more for us but nothing drastic.

We took DDog out to the patio yesterday and spent about an hour grooming him. He must be about two kg lighter judging from the amount that came off him. I think the only solution is regular grooming and lots of hoovering. We have a roomba which helps.

We have a St. Bernard cross, we know about dog hair 😂 we brush him every day, hoover at least daily if not twice and have a roomba that I set going when I take the dc up to bed so the house is reasonably clean for the evening. We also add salmon oil to his food which makes him less itchy and improves his coat. And he spends most of his time outside which helps! (Voluntarily, with the back door open for him to access the indoors whenever he wants 😂)

I swear by my furminator, best brush/comb, one fluffy collie who is 5 weeks past grooming appointment 🙄 take a good amount off her every day, even the other 3 single coated dogs it takes loose/dead hair off.

@boomchikawowwow
Yes they are, it was my groomer who recommended it, I get about 4/5 big handfuls. off her very night, she’s about the size of a big springer.

Furminators don't work on my dog (great on the cat tho) because she's double coated and it doesn't get through the underlayer.. so depends on your dog breed I guess. We have to use a rake on the undercoat.
I'm brushing a whole dog's worth off mine every day at the mo...

We have a Dalmatian. Dally "glitter" as the breed FB groups call it is everywhere. All year, everyday. It's ridiculous. I just accept it now.

Mars Coat Kings are expensive but amazing combs. Better than Furminators IMHO
