Collar/lead suggestions

Hi, I know this is a trivial question but I’m going to ask it anyway.
My dog is a red working cocker.
She’s had the same purple collar, harness and lead since we got her 8 months ago.
They all look vaguely tatty now and so want to replace them.
The thing is, she really suits purple but I’m kind of sick of it. I don’t want her to clash with her collar.
Anyone else have a red dog? what colour collar do you have which doesn’t clash?
Also what brands do you recommend? We have truelove ones which are comfy to hold but the lead is maybe not quite long enough.
Thanks.

I have red working Cockers and Vizslas, so it's a very red dog house 😄 They all have their own gear colour-coded to each dog. Colours we have/have had are purple, orange, teal, blue, lime green and khaki green. It might sound a bit odd but orange actually looks great on them and kind of blends rather than clashes. The green shades are nice too. Photo is the orange version of the lead I use, it's really nice.

Most of our collars and leads are Ruffwear, it lasts really well. I have a couple of Ruffwear harnesses but they all have Dog Games Perfect Fit harnesses - we've got them in purple, orange, jade green, bright green and bright blue.

Irrelevant but your dog is gorgeous!

I have a red dog, she has a plain grey collar but her harness is teal green (it's a Perfect Fit).

I have several bandanas we thread over the collar from time to time for a change of look!

I'm another Ruffwear fan. They age well and have lovely colours. I agree your dog looks fab in the purple!

Ooh I would never have gone for orange but might be worth a try. I did fancy blue or a teal green.
Does that one you put on @VetOnCall have a normal type clip too? It looks a bit heavy duty for a wander down to the beach.
@Wolfiefan thanks, she is totally gorgeous - if not a little clingy!!

They have other styles that have smaller clips, or you can remove that carabiner and put on a smaller carabiner or clip - I've kept it on the Vizslas' leads but changed it to a smaller one on the Cockers'. I also have a few of this lead style in various colours (yes, I buy way too much stuff for the dogs Blush): ruffwear.co.uk/collections/dog-leads/products/front-range-lightweight-dog-leash

if not a little clingy!!

Smile they're the second clingiest breed in existence - believe it or not Vizslas are even worse! Grin

Ha at least your clingy Velcro dog is more lapdog sized than my needy wolfhound. Grin

@VetOnCall thanks, I really like the look of the rope type one you’ve got. I’ll have a look. Are they easy to change to a clip.
@Wolfiefan oh good grief, yes she is teeny compared to a wolfhoundGrin
