Got up this morning and dog’s back end swaying. Walking like she’s drunk. She’s 4. A golden retriever. Very active and fit. No pain. Has vomited once.

Taken to vet. Anti inflammatory meds given.

Any ideas?

Any knuckling? As in paws bending over themselves?

Appetite as normal?

No sudden decline - still able to jump and run from what you say?

@Immunitysucks, yes, still eating small means (giving her smaller portions). Took her out this morning. It’s not a pronounced as yesterday but still looking a bit “mad cow” like. No knuckling. She just looks drunk.

Will give her her medicine with her food and see how she is this afternoon.

I would query low blood sugar. Did they test for glucose levels?

Does she have a head tilt Or any flickering if her eyes?

Any head tilt? Pawing at her ears? Are her eyes flickering? Any chance she's eaten something she shouldn't have?

Well, she’s SEEMS ok this evening.

My immediate fear was poisoning as she’s always mooching and eating god only knows what 🙄. Also, she’s a big swimmer so, I was thinking maybe an ear infection. Her eyes are fine. No head shaking and has not vomited since.

Will keep an eye on her. Thank you for taking the time to reply.
