Buying New Puppy

Has anybody bought a puppy from Longview Kennels Blackpool. I am thinking of buying a puppy from them. Just want some reassurance that they are reputable.

People CBA to do a proper search. They don’t want to research a breed fully to see if it’s right for them, go through the breed club, meet breeders and do their due diligence. They don’t want to wait.
They want to google and buy a cute puppy quickly.

Thank you all for your replies, including those that were very critical. Perhaps I am naive, but I am a genuine person, who loves dogs. I have recently lost my beloved pooch, so really am very vulnerable at the moment.

I will not be purchasing from this breeder.

I did not go on Google, looking for a cute puppy. Nor I am looking for a dog for Christmas. I simply was misled by the advertising promising DNA health check reports, vets reports, Kennel Club registration certificates........Where do they get all these official documents from? Are the Vets giving away false reports?

Adaline, maybe all these people on here asking about puppies, do not wish to be buying from puppy farms, thats why they are asking. If I was you I would go and find something more useful to do with my time.

If it puts someone off looking online for pups like this then it is worthwhile.
If you want a pedigree then go through the breed club. Anywhere offering multiple litters of multiple breeds is to be avoided at all costs.

If people come on here asking genuine questions, it makes much more sense to be kind and helpful rather than snitty and superior. IMHO, anyway.

OP, the KC will hand out a KC registration certificate if the puppy is born from purebred parents of the same breed (they are a few exclusions, to do with the closeness of the mating, the number of litters a bitch has had, and her age). Any health tests involve going to the vet and getting the test done and waiting for the results: the outfits doing them don't come and check your breeding facilities or anything like that. The bod at the BVA or wherever looking at the hip x-ray has no idea if you've got two dozen breeding bitches and produce two litters a month, or if you have two, who will each be bred once.

In my view, you can health-test your breeding stock and still be a puppy farm. You can be a member of the breed club and breed health-tested pedigrees and still be a liability to the breed, if you inbreed, or breed dogs who have never worked a day in their lives and claim that the puppies will be good workers, or use a stud dog with a questionable temperament because he sires show-winning progeny.

There was a thread on here a while ago about 'what makes a good breeder'. I'll try and find it and put up a link.

I suppose at the end of the day, maybe you should not trust anybody......so sad. It seems it is all a game of chance.

Sadly there is so much money involved in puppies that you do have to be extremely vigilant.
That doesn't mean you can't find what you're looking for through breed club or breed rescue.

I don't understand. Your thread linked above seems to suggest you already got some good advice on finding a Yorkie puppy? I would follow that advice, OP.
