Very strange coat - how to groom?

I have recently adopted a lurcher type dog. She has very soft wavy fur on her head, ears and shoulders, her chest and hindquarters have short wiry fur that feels frizzy and tough, and her face, legs and tail are very short and smooth. She's like 3 different dogs smooshed together!

What is the best way to groom her? What sort of brushes should I be using? How often?

I've only ever had standard poodles before so I'm a bit worried about getting it wrong and messing up her coat.

Do you have any pictures?

I would take her to a groomer and get some advice on what to do for the best - most are quite happy to give you some help with that kind of thing Smile

Any chance of a photo?!

I'd just comb her through. You may find the longer coat areas are hand strippable. That would give a more 2 dog look. You can hand strip yourself. YouTube is your friend. I wouldn't have her clipped unless you want her to look like a whippet or greyhound.
