Wish my dog could go back to being a cute puppy

Love DDog dearly, but sometimes when I scroll through old pictures of him on my phone I just think "he was sooo cute, I wish I could just watch him stumbling about again!" Just for a day. I don't miss the constant anxiety of "what's the puppy up to", but now he's huge and I just want to pick up my cute puppy and cuddle him! It's like when your child grows up and it's great, but sometimes you wish they were five again. Anyone else ever feel this way?

I think I'm the opposite! Pup was very cute as a puppy, she's a basset so would constantly trip over her own ears they were so big. But I love it when dogs mature and really grow into their features.

But I do miss the tripping over ears as the bundle of energy of puppies is endearing (if exhausting).

My dog was bloody adorable as a pup but no way in hell would I want that naughty cheeky frustrating pup back! Got him as a 6 month old rescue with all bad habits and no training.

Now as a wonderful, (fairly) well behaved 5 year old, I love him more than anything!

Oh, I totally get this OP.

There is no way I want to live with him being a puppy again but I think it's such a shame I cannot have little-battenpup back for 30mins or so, just for a cuddle. Carrying him round was such fun. And he smelled so good as a puppy.

I think this is because I know him now as an adult dog, so would want to see him again as a puppy to compare. Like, his puppyhood would be better experienced after knowing him as an adult. I wish I'd shot more video footage...

He grew so fast - literally each morning would seem an inch taller than the day before. They are little for such a short time and then they are (almost) fully grown teenage bast*rds!

I was just say to this to Dh yesterday.
Just wish I had taken more photos and videos, although I think there are more photos of him on my phone than anyone else
It's the oh so cute stumbling about, looking at the world in awe and scoop ability I miss the most. Adore him now but wish I had a day back in time with him.

We took it in turns to get up with him and then went to lie on the sofa with lovely pup on top and sleep on for a few hours, so so cuddly. I miss that but not the 4am bit

Yes, my pup always had diarrhea so not missing that! But he looked so cute. And he still wanted to be with me then, now he lifts an eyelid when I walk past and then decides I'm not worth getting excited about
