On top of his foot - excessive licking A just looked like a little cut yesterday, looks like this today?

My dog had this when some glass got in and got infected. Looks like it could be infected and need visit to vet

It looks green - which makes me think grass seen - but I'm sure it was just like a red scrape yesterday. I cleaned it with an antiseptic wipe and put aloe vera on it - then loosely wrapped a bandage to stop the licking - have I made it worse?!

Aloe Vera is toxic for dogs and shouldn’t be used where they can ingest it.

I use magnesium sulphate paste, covered with a baby sock held in place by adhesive athletic tape. It’s generally enough to pull out whatever’s in there within 24hours, but sometimes needs a vet.

Topically or if they lick - it's a certain part of the plant that is toxic?

I asked because I was wondering about Alabama rot. Very rare and unusual but you might want to look at the early symptom photos just to be sure it looked nothing like them

I wouldnt think alabama rot, more likely this time of year to be a grass seed, or if he licks there alot a lick granualoma, dose he get hayfever? If so the granualoma is probbly more likely

licked the top of it. Stopped being so sensitive (was flinching when I went near it til it was licked off!)
